We’re excited to have you as part of our martial arts family and we’re here to help you succeed. Below is a brief guide to some key protocols and some resources for you so you can get the most out of your training experience.
Understanding Our schedule
Class Schedule
Our training is broken down into different types of days to help you grow in a balanced way.
A-Days: These days generally focus on traditional forms or katas.
B-Days: These days generally focus on self-defense application.
Make-Up Days: Most Saturdays are available for students of all skill levels to come train and get extra practice; great if your child only makes it once for a particular week or is struggling and needs extra help.
2 Classes per week: Helps your child build confidence in their techniques, learn valuable self-defense and practice the attitudes and values of the martial arts consistently.
- 3-4 Classes per week: Further practice and reinforcement for the most dedicated students.
- 1 Class per week: Not the consistent practice they need to properly develop focus, discipline, confidence or technique.
uniform requirements
Uniform Guidelines
Gi Pants pull up just like pajama pants and have a drawstring to tighten them.
The Gi Jacket is a pullover just like a hoodie. Students should still wear a shirt under the jacket and then tie their belt over the jacket.
A-Days: Please wear your complete uniform, which consists of your gi pants, gi jacket, and belt. This uniform supports discipline and the tradition of martial arts.
B-Days: Students can wear an Ultimate Defense T-shirt instead of the gi jacket, while still wearing the belt and gi pants. If they prefer they can still choose to wear the gi jacket.
Make-Up Days: Students can wear whichever uniform they prefer but must be in uniform.

Search for “Spark Member” in the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android).
Download & install the app.
Open it, enter the Location ID 2626, and use the email you provided when filling out your student profile at our school to create your account.

🌙 Parents Night Out
Every month we have one event where kids can come on a Friday or Saturday night and do some unique and super fun games so that you can have a few hours to yourself. Cheaper than a babysitter, dinner for the kids is included and you know they are in good hands with our trusted instructors.
